2010 PRE30DOD: Dogpatch Saloon

It was extremely slow for a Monday. Pat, the bartender, said "we should be closed". Shes worked at Dogpatch for a few years and stated that every holiday that falls on a Monday the bar is dead. Its a well maintained bar. They have a pool table, juke box, and live music on Sundays. Go by and see Pat(Yankees fan) on Monday and Saturday nights. Pat, I hope we made your night bearable.
Rally, Stretch and myself were present. Rob made a Cameo, one of many I'm sure. After completing twenty one days of sobriety Rob is ready for the next thirty days. That might be the next blog thirty days of sobriety. Lord knows we'll need some sobering-up after the month of June.
Tomorrow night is the big kick-off. We'll be at Minx on Sutter. See you at 8pm

2010 PRE30DOD: Joxer Dalys

This was a cool place to spend a Sunday evening. It was spacious, low key, and their was never more than twenty people. The prices were right, and the bartender, Sinead, was happy to serve us, especially the Jameson shots. Plenty of beers on tap, and a juke box to provide music.

We were in good company. Our good friends Dave, Clark, Goose, Sal and Arcy came out and joined us. Thanks for supporting the project. We will see all of you in the days to come. If you missed out take some time and get to Yoxers.

See you at Dogpatch Saloon tonight on 22nd st. and 3rd st.

2010 PRE30DOD: Mr. Bings

Mr. Bings is a small triangular shaped bar that seats about twenty five people, and there is not to much standing room. However, I was concentrating more on the drinks. There is no beer on tap, but there is wide range of bottled beer to chose from. Bruce, the bartender, had you run of the mill spirts on hand. The prices were excellent, as compared to Bruce's eye gouging neighbors who reside a block away on Broadway. Actually Bing's prices were great as compared to most city taverns, and Bruce was happy to have us.

The All City Crew was present along with Sarah, Maria, Dennis, Matt, Sam and Ya'el (Sorry for the mis spell). Thank you all for coming out and supporting the cause.

2010 PRE30DOD: POPS

It was a definite change of pace. For the young working people of San Francisco who love heavy metal, stiff drinks and cold beers, this is the spot. There was a DJ spinning the finest heavy metal tunes, a bar tender who is the lead singer in a heavy metal band, and the champagne of beer. This was a winning combination. Personally, to pace myself for the days ahead and to stay with in budget, I stuck to the high life (champagne of beer). However, they had plenty of beer on tap and plenty of bottled beer. I could have indulged myself a little more (i.e. Jameson) and not have spent to much money, but decided not to. Pops has daily drink specials. I believe on Sundays their drink special involves Jager and a cheap price. Something my Jager aficionados may want to check out. This Sunday, Carnival, they open early.

A mixed crowd of folks call this watering hole home. You had some natives along side new arrivals. The usual suspects where present and we had a guest appearance. Fouad, Basil, and Joe came out in support of the 30 Day Project. Thanks fellas.

Pops is off of the beaten path, and its a spot I'll definitely return to.
See you at Mr. Bings tonoght.

2010 PRE30DOD: Carnal Carnaval 2010

This Memorial Day weekend marks the 32nd annual Carnival celebration that brings together people of all cultures to enjoy music, dance, artistry and food in San Francisco's Mission District. The prelude to the official start off of the All City Project, this celebration will go down as a "random act of kindness," "a bone to the dog," "a freebie" so to speak. The All City squad says "you can have that," regarding the rigor's of this weekends events. With only two more days until the beginning of "30 days of debauchery" the squad and I are pulling out all the stops and will be bracing ourselves for a month long journey in hopes of ultimately, crossing the finish line at the end of June.

Preparations for the bop-off are in place, yet we still haven't seized to take that moment of silence for that small chronic break (in this case its liver break) prior to lift-off, for I have witnessed the ambition, determination and steadfast craziness of my fellow colleagues well in advance to the opening ceremonies of this event. We have been training physically and preparing mentally for the event and getting psyched up as we enter this Memorial Day weekend. In spite of having Carnival not actually a part of the 30 days/ 30 bars, we still treat it as if it was and in one sense be the last preparation before the first of June (in 2 days).

If you are planning on heading to Carnival this weekend remember to stay hydrated and prepare to have a fun time. The eight block stretch of Harrison will be filled with booths of craft, music, arts and food, in addition to the two main stages that will feature live performances hosting everything from salsa, cumbia, and merengue to Briazilian samba, hip-hop and reggaeton. A variety of local acts will appear at the festival including Latin outfit Borbolett, Caravanserai and Orixa, samba troupes Fogo Na Roupa and Loco Bloco as well as Brazilian groups SambaDa and Boca do Rio. Plan for a nice time and be sure to bring your patient hat with you for this is a "ride slow homie" kind of event.

Come check for the All City crew, we'll be in full effect, especially Sunday when the parade will be kicking off bright and early. So, bring your feathered-filled flamingo outfit and your "fi-ca" attitude for it goes down!!! Shots out to the Caribbeans, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Bahamas, Trinidad, Brazil and all the another representing countries that will be showing up!!!

Un amor,

2010 PRE30DOD: Finnegan's Wake

Unofficially we kicked off the thirty day project last night, and we're off to a great start. The entire team was there. We met a few people and made some new friends. Finnegans is a very cozy neighborhood watering hole. They had a descent Thursday night gathering. It was not to packed, and tunes were provided via juke box. I had a few pints of Full Sail at $4.50 a pop. John, the bartender, was witty, he kept our glasses full, and could crack jokes with the best of them. On Memorial Day they are having a BBQ.

Other than John we had the pleasure of meeting Jill, Morgan, and Amy. Thank you for your support, and we hope to see you soon. Ofcourse hatters were present, so big All City shot-out to Shavon, our first of many hatters.

See you at Pop's tonight. 24th at York.

2010 PRE30DOD: Pre -Opening Day for Barack

Over the past several weeks we've been having a great time warming-up. There has been several stamina building events leading up to the thirty days of June. There was Bay to Breakers, Rob's birthday crawl, The Stal B. Sure Show, etc...... Now we're in the final stretch.

Due to a shoulder injury (not 30 day related) I will have to have surgery, and will not be able to attend the last few days of June. However, I will be starting early to insure I get in a full thirty days. Those of you who want to get an early start and make sure all systems are a go come out and join me. I will be starting this Thursday May twenty seventh, in the year of our Lord 2010. Locations TBA.

2010 PRE30DOD: Don’t be scared… It’s only 30 Days of Debauchery!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Old and Young... We have 12 days until we start the debauchery! Please keep in mind; you DO NOT have to engage in the full 30 days. The All-Stars of All-City are the ones who will be pushing themselves to limit. (Unless you think you’re up to the challenge, then by all means, join us!) We DO want you to come out and have a drink with us on any of the 30 days and show your support. (We’ll even blog about you!) This is much more than just the debauchery itself. We are using this vessel (30DoD) to meet new folks, reconnect with old friends, and basically party and have a good time with this.

Once the first of June drops, we will post the bar’s location for that day and the following day. 2 days in advance. SO KEEP CHECKING THE BLOG FOR DAILY UPDATES. The All City Project may bring the Debauchery in your area….

NOTE: 30 days of Debauchery pre-party kick off is on May 31. Location: TBA

2010 PRE30DOD: OMG WTF?! 2010 ING B2B

The 2010 ING Bay to Breakers was one of the most spectacular exhibitions of debaucherous delinquency I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing in all of my 33 years as a resident of San Francisco! The costumes were wild and provocative, there was a peaceful vibe emanating from the crowd, and everyone was there for the same reason... it certainly was not for the sponsored spectacle of B2B. Obviously, everyone was there to get trashed, fu-bared,dusted, and plastered all at the same time while enjoying the company of complete strangers in weird and sexually suggestive costumes! And, I have to say... I have certainly indulged in my fair share of social deviance during my short but memorable time on earth...but none of the deviant behavior I have demonstrated will ever compare to what I saw this past Sunday, save Carnival or the first S.F. Love Fest!
Furthermore, I have never been an active and willing participant of such deplorable, despicable, and deliberate self-destruction... while remaining completely aware of the inevitable negative repercussions and long-term effects of such behavior. I knew exactly what road I was headed down once I took that first swig of Jameson @8am. I knew exactly what would happen when I decided to brave the "No Pee Zone" alleyway off of Octavia to relieve myself. Maybe the 6 residents keenly eying their property, the water hoses they were waving in the direction of would be pee-ers, and the big ass sign that said "NO PEE ZONE (PISS AT YOUR OWN RISK)" gave it away! Nonetheless, I had one of the most memorable, positive, exhilarating, and stimulating times of my Entire life. Ignorance IS certainly more than just bliss!
P.S: Any consumption of alcoholic refreshments before 11 am is a huge mistake! Keep it simple stupid! Be smart and think rationally! Don't drink before 3pm.

2010 PRE30DOD: A Marathon Not a Race!

Okay, folks for those of you who will be participating in the 99th annual Bay to Breakers on Sunday May 16th, the festive race will sure to go down in the book of history as one for the ages. The Bay to Breakers attracts people for a fun and exciting day of running/walking through the streets of San Francisco. For me this acts as an excuse not to attend church on Sunday due to blocked-off streets throughout Golden Gate Park, traffic and others a day to dress up in a goofy-ass costume as if it was Halloween and make an ass of themselves and not to mention guzzle copious amounts of alcohol while checking out the hottest street hookers in the pack.

Best believe that the All City squad will be in attendance, not for running the track, but for the grand fiesta that will be going on all day on the track-the guzzling of copious amounts of alcohol. After all, we are training for the "The All City Project: 30 days of Debauchery" beginning June 1, 2010. That is my excuse for this event and as well as probably 85 percent of all the other would be participants, just another reason to get fucked up with all your friends (except all you hermit crabs & those who flip out in crowded places). My sentiment to my peers and cohorts of the "30 days of Debauchery" is practice makes perfect and lets make this event yet another notch under the belt! It's nothin'.

All I hope for is a hot sunny day for I know that the higher the temperature gets the less amount of clothes people will have on regardless of gender. Music and outlandish characters will parade the streets of SF, providing entertainment value to the vibrant participants and eye-gazing spectators. Lace your shoestrings tight and drink plenty of fluids, good luck! Come as you are, go home smashed.

Oh, one other thing people, if you so happen to pass the finish line before you pass out and are done with the keg-in-the-shopping-cart-float or whatever floats your dog-gone boat you're in, please remember to clean up after your stank ass. A friendly reminder from your Richmond & Sunset district/Golden Gate Park & Recreation Cleanliness Coalition.

See you at the finish line suckas!!!

2010 PRE30DOD: The Weigh-In

So, for those you have been hearing about the countdown to the 30-days/30-bars AKA: "The All City Project: 30 days of Debauchery 2010"-The great people at All City & Bombay would like to welcome the newly subscribers to the blog and those brave individuals who dare help and take part in this monumental event like no other.

In one corner, San Francisco's collective of brew-ha-ha locations that can rival any major US city. The collection combined has more experience putting patrons on their asses and making them puke what they've just ingested.

The other corner, 5 brave-souls (currently), all born and bred in the great city of San Francisco. We have had the privilege to experience the diverse and intense competition growing up in the Sco, hence we embark on this mission. With a total combined weight nearing 850lbs, we attempt to intake about that much in distilled liquor and mouth-watering alcoholic concoctions over the course of the 30-days each. Five of us will leave, hopefully 5 of us will return!

Thirty days of debauchery.....
