Day: 2 Lion Pub

ACP, kicks day 2 off at The Lion Pub, located in the nestled part of lower Pacific-Heights and Divisadero blvd. This place is ideal for 30DOD, because of its locality and prestige. 

The Lion Pub is a diamond in the rough kind of  place that has a rich history behind the building. Publicity is minimum on this place, so considered yourself lucky. The lion pub is a place where only the "strong survive." 

Thriving on a know by bases, this is a spot that few will tell about, only to keep the secret to themselves. Social-elites of "The City" and few outsiders of the land will know of this place. Just like San Francisco The Lion Pub and the history behind it is rich and full of interesting anecdotes.  

Previously Lion Pub was a mortuary turned restaurant with the fireplace being the then cooking grill. The original owner had a pet lion that lived on the second floor of the building. The building soon after caught fire and the then restaurant at the time had burned down. I've come to learn quite an interesting story behind the building. Rumors have it, that Lion Pub was scouted to be a location for scenes in the movie "Milk". The owner turned down the offer and what would've been never was. 

You can meet an eclectic crowd, and enjoy the dimmed lights which creates an intimate setting, perfect for couples and spacious enough for groups. The facade resembles a jungle with phenomenal stage-props adding to the "Lion's Den" theme.

The Lion  Pub has Happy Hour everyday starting 4:30-7:00pm. This establishment has a rich history behind the building. They're known for their fresh fruit cocktail concoctions, mojitos, and moonshine-like beverages. They even have a drink named "Charlie Sheen" which is made with Jagermeister, Goldshlager, and Bacardi 151, you got to love that...and of course ACP is #StillWinning!

Drink prices are a bit above the average but definitely makes up in atmosphere and in character. Lion Pub is a cash only place with a ATM inside. Our bartenders for the night were Pat, shouts to you and thanks for the night, Rochelle and Kevin.  Lion Pub is a great place to enjoy tasty drinks, good conversation, and a wonderful relaxing ambiance. You truly have to visit and experience it for yourself to see the full extent of what is offered here..
